Services we provide Caring for CarersVolunteers can enable a hard pressed, caring relative to take a well earned break, by sitting with someone too frail or disabled to be left on their own. This is usually carried out on a regular basis, when possible, with the same volunteer, giving continuity for the carer and cared for.
VisitingElderly people are often isolated. A weekly visit and a friendly chat can mean a great deal.
A friend of the familyIt's not just the sick and elderly who sometimes need someone to lean on. Crisis can strike the family in so many ways. A friendly face and helping hand can be very comforting.
Helping the HouseboundA lot of worry can be removed for the housebound to know there is someone willing to collect a prescription, return a library book, or simply post a letter.
DrivingVolunteers who drive are invaluable as escorts for people with poor mobility.
